Music from festival performers can be heard free on Friday, June 3, at various locations: Marcy Prochaska playing hammered dulcimer  at the Argos Public Library (2pm), Beth Pare and her harp at Culver Coffee Company (6pm), folk music by “Lane, Jenny, and friends” (members of Shakin’ Hammers String Band and guests) at Bremen’s Italian Coffee Bar (7pm), George Schricker and Gene Ley at the Marshall Co. On Saturday, the free fun for all ages will include live music, fantastic food sold to help local non-profits, Johnny Appleseed, games for the kids, educational activities and presentations, and the first “River Arts and Crafts” show and sale featuring local artists and crafters.  At 9am, Mayor Senter will announce the official name for the park where the Yellow River Festival occurs (off LaPorte St. 2 blocks east of Michigan St. in downtown Plymouth). After the proclamation, festival-goers can hear music all day, with headliners Goldmine Pickers at 3pm and Kennedy’s Kitchen at 7pm.  More information is available at www.yellowriverfestival.org.
